First Impressions

As you grow up, the biggest irony of life becomes clear. That when you were younger, you wanted to be older and then when you're old, you wanna be younger. You realise the disadvantages of knowing more. The ever present worries and concerns that cover your life and personality for the rest of your life. As a child in a kindergarten, your biggest worry is always about whether you're going to have sport today or if you painted your sculpture the right colour. In primary school, it's whether some guy will spread a rumour about you or beat you up or if you did well enough on an easy AIM test. Come highschool, you worry about your future job, your lovelife, social life and of course, the bloody necessity of going to school and doing well. Once you're out of there, you start thinking about whether you're earning enough money and the worries keep piling up.

The old saying "Ignorance is bliss," suddenly becomes painfully clear. You start thinking about a wasted childhood where you spent too much time worrying about the future. You starting thinking about how much crap you're gonna have to put up with as you keep growing. It sucks. I know it, and a lot of other people know it. But the good thing about growing up, is that regardless of all the crap you have to put up with, you're also given the tools to put up with it.
